The essentials

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The six things that answer 90% of questions before you even ask.

How does booking work?

Fill in the form and pay a £50 holding deposit. That blocks your date for 48 hours while we confirm everything our end! If we are unable to cater for your event, the deposit will be refunded.

What's the minimum spend?

Separate from the hire fee. Most events hit it easily. Shortfall settled by card before you leave.

Do you have decks or a DJ?

No resident DJ. Hire our CDJ decks + mixer for £150 (includes damage insurance). Our system uses XLR male inputs.

What time does everything finish?

Fri & Sat: last track 2:15, everyone out by 02:30 — no exceptions. Late licence to 05:00 available, booked in advance. Mon–Thu & Sun: out by 22:30. Overruns charged at £50/hr.

When does food need to be ordered?

At least 7 days before your event. Groups of 15+ must pre-order. Everything is 100% plant-based.

Who looks after the door?

You do. We don't manage the door — our FOH team serve the restaurant, so arrivals, names and guest lists are yours.

Got the gist? Tell us about your event and we'll come back with the rest.

FOOD THAT MAKES THE NIGHT

Everything is made in our kitchen. No compromise — just genuinely good plant-based dishes built for a crowd. Pre-order when you book, arrive and eat.

All food counts towards your minimum bar spend. Pre-order at least 7 days before your event — groups of 15+ must pre-order.

Terms & Conditions
Venue Hire

Arrrrrrrgh Ltd · 297-299 Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9HA · Company No. 16311746 registered in England & Wales · Version August 2026

These terms apply to all venue hire bookings at The Love Shack London. By making payment you confirm you have read, understood and agreed to these terms in full.

1.Definitions

The Venue / The Company
means Love Shack London (Arrrrrrrgh Ltd), 297-299 Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9HA.
The Hirer
means the individual or organisation named on the booking invoice and who has made payment to confirm the booking.
The Premises
means The Bunker and any other spaces at Love Shack London as confirmed on the invoice.
The Period of Hire
means the specific date, access time and end time confirmed on the invoice.
The Holding Deposit
means the £50 paid online at the time of enquiry to block the chosen date while availability is confirmed.
The Proposal
means the written confirmation of availability, full pricing and timings sent by Love Shack following receipt of the Holding Deposit.
The Hire Fee
means the flat fee charged for use of the Premises, as set out on the invoice.
The Minimum Spend
means the minimum amount required to be spent at the Love Shack bar during the Period of Hire, as set out on the invoice.

2.Maximum Capacity

2.1 The Hirer must not exceed the following maximum capacities at any time: The Bunker — 150 standing, 80 mixed style, 60 seated theatre, 50 seated dining, 50 children (kids parties). The Restaurant — 50. The Cocktail Bar — 50. The Garden — 50. Full Venue — 250.

2.2 The Hirer is responsible for managing guest numbers and must not allow the Premises to exceed the stated capacity. Love Shack reserves the right to refuse entry to additional guests once capacity is reached.

2.3 No person under 18 may be served or consume alcohol on the Premises.

3.Booking & Payment

3.1 Holding deposit. A £50 Holding Deposit, paid online at the time of enquiry, blocks the chosen date for 48 hours while we confirm availability and send the Proposal. Paying the Holding Deposit does not confirm the booking.

3.2 Holding deposit refund policy. The £50 Holding Deposit is non-refundable, except in the following cases:

  • We are unable to accommodate the event on the chosen date — the Holding Deposit is refunded automatically within 3 working days.
  • The Hirer cancels more than 60 days before the event date (see §5).
  • Love Shack cancels the booking (see §5).

3.3 Confirmation. A booking is confirmed only upon issue of the Proposal and receipt of cleared payment of the Hire Fee in full. No booking is confirmed by verbal agreement, text message, social media message, or any note made by a member of Love Shack staff. The Hirer will receive a written booking confirmation from events@loveshackldn.com once payment has cleared.

3.4 Payment deadline. The Hire Fee balance is due in full no later than 28 days before the event date. Where a booking is confirmed inside 28 days of the event, the balance is due within 48 hours of the confirmation email (and in any case before the event takes place). Add-ons added inside the 28-day window are payable immediately at the time they are added. No payment is taken on the day — all payment is in advance. If payment is not received within 24 hours of the applicable deadline the date will be released automatically without further notice and the Holding Deposit forfeited; a payment link may still be provided and, where the date remains available, payment through it will allow the booking to be re-confirmed.

3.5 Method of payment. The Holding Deposit is collected online by card at the time of enquiry. The Hire Fee balance is paid either by a secure Stripe payment link or by BACS bank transfer — the method is set out on the Proposal/invoice. Card and bank details required to settle the balance are confirmed in writing alongside the Proposal.

3.6 VAT. All charges are inclusive of VAT.

3.7 Invoice amendments. Invoice details (company name, address, purchase order) must be provided at the time of booking. The Venue cannot amend invoices that have been issued in a previous VAT period.

3.8 Whole-Venue bookings — POA. The Hire Fee for Whole-Venue bookings is by application (POA). The £50 Holding Deposit on a Whole-Venue enquiry holds the date for review but does not guarantee that the booking will be confirmed. Confirmation follows the standard process at §3.3 — issue of a Proposal and receipt of cleared payment of the Hire Fee in full. If the Proposal is not accepted, or terms cannot be agreed, the Holding Deposit is refunded in full within 3 working days.

4.The Minimum Spend

4.1 What it is. The Minimum Spend is the minimum amount that must be spent at the Love Shack bar by the Hirer and their guests during the Period of Hire. It is separate from, and in addition to, the Hire Fee.

4.2 What counts. The Minimum Spend is calculated from the total value of all food and drink purchased at the Love Shack bar during the Period of Hire, including pre-ordered platters and any food or drink ordered by guests on the night. The Hire Fee itself does not count towards the Minimum Spend.

4.3 Shortfall — payable on the night. If the total bar spend does not reach the Minimum Spend, the shortfall is payable in full by the Hirer before leaving the venue on the night of the event. The Hirer will not be permitted to leave until the shortfall has been settled by card at the bar. No shortfall invoices are raised after the event — all amounts must be settled on the night.

4.4 No refund on surplus. If guests spend more than the Minimum Spend, no refund or credit is issued. The Minimum Spend is a floor, not a cap.

4.5 It is not a deposit. The Minimum Spend is not held in advance and is not refundable. It is a contractual obligation to generate a minimum level of bar revenue during your event.

5.Cancellation & Refunds

5.1 More than 60 days before the event. If the Hirer cancels more than 60 days before the event date, the Hire Fee and the Holding Deposit are refunded in full within 14 days.

5.2 60 days or fewer before the event. If the Hirer cancels 60 days or fewer before the event date, the Hire Fee and the Holding Deposit are forfeited in full. No refund is issued.

5.3 Date changes. One date change is permitted per booking, subject to availability, provided the request is made more than 60 days before the original event date. Date changes within 60 days of the event are treated as a cancellation — no refund applies and a new booking and payment would be required.

5.4 Venue cancellation. If Love Shack cancels due to circumstances within our control, the Hire Fee and Holding Deposit are refunded in full within 14 days. If cancellation is due to government restrictions or force majeure, a full refund or credit note will be offered.

5.5 Termination during an event. Love Shack reserves the right to terminate any event in progress if these terms are breached. No refund will be issued in this circumstance.

6.Use of Premises

6.1 The Premises may only be used for the purpose stated on the booking invoice. Sub-hiring is not permitted.

6.2 The following are not permitted: political rallies or demonstrations; illegal activities; activities likely to cause civil unrest; any goods or materials that are illegal, counterfeit, dangerous or offensive.

6.3 Love Shack is a fully vegan venue. No non-vegan food or drink may be brought onto or served on the Premises at any time.

6.4 Corkage. All alcohol must be purchased from the Love Shack bar. No alcohol may be brought onto the Premises by the Hirer or their guests, except where a written corkage agreement has been made in advance — £15 per bottle, wine and champagne only, available for any event type, agreed in writing in advance.

6.5 Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the building. Smoking is permitted in the garden area only.

6.6 No alterations may be made to the Premises without prior written consent.

6.7 Decorations. No confetti, glitter or any materials requiring significant clean-up. Nothing may be fixed to walls with nails, screws or permanent adhesive (including blu-tack, pins or tape). All decorations must be removed by the end of the hire. Additional cleaning charges apply for breach.

7.Timings & Access

7.1 Standard access (evening events). For evening events, the Hirer (and any crew, performers or decorators) may access the Premises from 5:30pm, or from the time stated on the invoice. Early access from 3:00pm is available at £25/hr and must be agreed and paid for in advance. Daytime and kids party slots have their own access times — see the invoice.

7.2 Doors. For all evening events, the venue must be accessible to guests by 6:30pm. If doors are not open by this time, a charge of £25 per 30 minutes applies while Love Shack staff are required to manage incoming guests.

7.3 Guest arrivals vs access time. Guests may only arrive from the agreed event start time, not the Hirer's access time. Access time is for set-up, sound checks and decoration only. Guests cannot be left waiting in the restaurant or entrance ahead of the start time.

7.4 Curfew. The Hirer must ensure that the Premises are completely vacated — all guests, performers, crew and the Hirer — by the agreed end time. 'Vacated' means every person has left the building, not that people are still 'wrapping up'.

7.5 Overrun charges. A charge of £50 per hour (or part thereof) applies for any time beyond the agreed curfew. These charges are automatic and non-negotiable.

7.6 Last track curfew (Fri/Sat). For Friday and Saturday evening events, the last track must be playing no later than 15 minutes before the agreed curfew. By default this is 02:15 (everyone out by 02:30). Enforced by venue staff — there are no exceptions.

7.7 Late licence extension (Saturday only). The Saturday curfew may be extended at the time of booking. One tier per booking, payable in advance — these cannot be added on the day of the event. Last track in each case must be playing no later than 15 minutes before the extended curfew.

  • To 03:00 · last track 02:45£150
  • To 04:00 · last track 03:45£350
  • To 05:00 · last track 04:45£500

8.The Door — Not Managed by Love Shack

8.1 Love Shack is not responsible for managing the door at any event. Greeting guests, checking names or tickets, managing the guest list and directing guests through to The Bunker are the responsibility of the Hirer.

8.2 Love Shack's front-of-house staff are engaged in serving the main restaurant and are not available to manage incoming event guests. This applies regardless of the size of the event or the time of day.

8.3 If Love Shack staff are required to cover the door because it is left unattended, a charge of £25 per 30 minutes applies, plus a compliance charge of £100.

9.Food & Drink

9.1 Love Shack provides all food and drink for hire events. External food and drink (other than birthday cakes — see 9.4) is not permitted.

9.2 Food pre-orders. All food pre-orders must be submitted at least 7 days before the event. Orders received after this deadline cannot be guaranteed. For groups of 15 or more, a pre-order is required — guests cannot rely on ordering on the night.

9.3 External caterers. External caterers and chefs are not permitted to use the Love Shack kitchen. All catering must be provided by Love Shack.

9.4 Birthday cakes. Bringing your own? It must be 100% plant-based (vegan), and a £50 fee per cake applies. Add them to your food pre-order and pay ahead.

9.5 Challenge 25. Love Shack operates a Challenge 25 policy. All guests may be asked for valid photo ID. Entry or service may be refused if valid ID cannot be produced. Love Shack reserves the right to refuse service to any individual at any time.

9.6 Menu changes & substitutions. All food, including pre-ordered platters, is subject to ingredient availability and occasional menu changes. If an item on a confirmed pre-order has to change, Love Shack will notify the Hirer before the event and the Hirer may choose either a substitute item of equal or greater value, or a full refund of that item. Any substitution offered will be of comparable or better quality than the item it replaces.

10.Children & Kids Parties

10.1 Adults who bring children onto the Premises are responsible for their safety and behaviour at all times. Love Shack staff are not responsible for the supervision of children at private hire events.

10.2 Where an event involves activities for children, the Hirer must ensure appropriate child protection policies and procedures are in place. Facilitators provided by Love Shack are independent contractors — the Hirer remains responsible for the overall safety of children at the event.

10.3 Maximum capacity for kids party sessions: 50 children.

10.4 All food pre-orders and final guest numbers for kids parties must be confirmed at least 7 days before the session.

11.Sound System & Equipment

11.1 Love Shack's PA sound system is available for use by the Hirer. Love Shack does not provide a sound technician. If no hire fee has been paid, the Hirer must provide their own qualified sound technician to operate the system.

11.2 CDJ decks and mixer are available to hire for £150 per event, inclusive of damage insurance. This must be requested at the time of booking.

11.3 The PA system uses 2 x XLR male inputs. Any DJ using their own controller must ensure they have appropriate cables. Love Shack accepts no liability for technical failures arising from incompatible equipment.

11.4 Screen hire: £15/event. Projector + screen bundle: £30/event. Both must be requested at booking and are not available for party-style events.

11.5 The sound system is managed by Love Shack staff in compliance with our premises licence noise conditions. Volume levels are at our discretion.

12.Damage, Liability & Insurance

12.1 The Hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the Premises, fixtures, fittings or equipment by themselves or their guests during the Period of Hire.

12.2 A damage deposit of up to £500 may be required for larger or higher-risk events, returnable within 7 days of the event following inspection.

12.3 Love Shack accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage to personal property brought onto the Premises. Our total liability shall not exceed the hire fee paid, except where loss is caused by our proven negligence.

12.4 Where applicable, the Hirer must maintain Public Liability Insurance of not less than £2,000,000 for the Period of Hire.

12.5 A charge of £100 applies for each instance of non-compliance with these terms. Persistent non-compliance may result in termination of the event and legal action.

13.Health & Safety

13.1 The Hirer is responsible for the health and safety of all guests during the Period of Hire and should carry out a risk assessment for their event.

13.2 Love Shack will provide a fire safety briefing at the start of every event. The Hirer must ensure all guests are present for this briefing.

13.3 Emergency exits must remain unobstructed at all times. Fire doors must not be propped open.

13.4 Any electrical equipment brought by the Hirer must be PAT tested.

14.Noise & Licensing

14.1 All events must comply with Love Shack's premises licence conditions, including noise management requirements.

14.2 Volume is managed by Love Shack staff. Licence conditions take precedence over event preferences — do not request that staff exceed permitted levels.

14.3 Guests must not make excessive noise in the street outside the venue, particularly after 11pm.

15.Advertising & Promotion

15.1 No advertising may be displayed at the venue without prior written permission.

15.2 All event artwork and promotional material must be approved by Love Shack before being shared publicly.

15.3 Love Shack will make reasonable efforts to share event information on our channels where it aligns with our brand, but is not obligated to do so.

15.4 The Hirer may not apply for a Temporary Event Notice for events at Love Shack without our prior written permission. All events are held under our premises licence.

16.General

16.1 Personal data is held and processed in accordance with UK GDPR 2021.

16.2 Love Shack may amend these terms at any time. The version in force at the time of booking applies.

16.3 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

16.4 If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

16.5 These terms constitute the entire agreement between Love Shack and the Hirer in relation to the hire.

Privacy Policy
How we handle your data

Arrrrrrrgh Ltd · 297-299 Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9HA · Company No. 16311746 registered in England & Wales · Version April 2026

This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use this site, why, and your rights under UK GDPR. Arrrrrrrgh Ltd is the data controller.

1.Who we are

1.1 Love Shack London is a trading name of Arrrrrrrgh Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 16311746). Registered address: 297-299 Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9HA.

1.2 Any question about this notice or how your data is handled, email events@loveshackldn.com.

2.What we collect

2.1 Booking enquiries. Your name, email and phone. Your company (if you give one) and how you heard about us. The event details you enter: date, type, space, time slot, guest counts (adults, children, infants), add-ons, dietary requirements, late-licence requests, food pre-order quantities and any free-text notes. Whether you ticked the marketing opt-in.

2.2 Holding deposit payments. Stripe handles the payment. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our systems. Stripe sends back a payment intent ID, a session ID, the amount and the timestamp; we store those against your booking. If a payment fails, expires or is refunded, we record that too.

2.3 Question widget. Your name, email and the message you wrote. We also store the IP address and user-agent of the browser you used, so we can spot abuse.

2.4 Newsletter sign-up. If you tick the marketing opt-in, your name and email go to Wix Contacts, which manages our newsletter list.

2.5 Just visiting the site. We hold your IP and a request fingerprint briefly for rate-limiting and abuse detection. Those records are purged automatically after 24 hours. Cloudflare Turnstile (a bot-challenge service) checks you're human before the booking and question forms submit; we see the resulting one-off token, not the behavioural signals behind it.

3.Why we use it

3.1 Handling your booking. Pre-contractual steps and performance of the contract you're entering with us. We use what you give us to send a proposal, take payment, send the confirmation and any pre-event reminders, and run the event.

3.2 Accounting records. Legal obligation. We keep booking and payment records to meet our obligations under UK tax law.

3.3 Marketing emails. Your consent, only if you ticked the opt-in. You can withdraw any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us.

3.4 Replying to your questions. Legitimate interest. If you've sent us a question, we assume you'd like an answer.

3.5 Fraud and abuse prevention. Legitimate interest. Rate-limiting, Turnstile and basic request logging keep the booking flow usable for real customers.

3.6 Internal calendar. Legitimate interest. Once a deposit is paid, we add the booking to our staff Google Calendar so the team can run the event.

4.Who we share it with

4.1 A handful of service providers help us run the site and manage bookings. They process your data on our instructions, under contract.

  • Stripe. Payment processing. Card details go directly to Stripe; we get only payment metadata.
  • Resend. Sends the transactional emails you receive: deposit receipt, booking confirmation, pre-event reminders, replies to questions.
  • Wix. Manages our newsletter list. Only used if you opted in.
  • Google. Workspace and Calendar, used by staff to manage confirmed bookings.
  • Cloudflare. Hosts the site, runs Turnstile bot protection, and gates the staff admin area.

4.2 We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law or court order, or to protect ourselves, our staff or our customers.

5.International transfers

5.1 Several of the providers above are based outside the UK, mostly in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations (where the destination country is recognised as offering equivalent protection), the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5.2 Cloudflare hosts the site on its global edge network, so your request is served from the nearest Cloudflare data centre.

6.Your rights

6.1 Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you,
  • ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate,
  • ask us to erase your information (subject to our legal obligation to retain certain records, e.g. for accounting),
  • ask us to restrict or object to processing,
  • ask us to provide your data in a portable format,
  • withdraw your consent for marketing at any time.

6.2 To exercise any of these rights, email events@loveshackldn.com. We'll respond within one calendar month.

6.3 If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

7.Cookies and similar technologies

7.1 We don't set first-party tracking or analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no ad cookies.

7.2 Two third parties may set strictly-necessary cookies:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile drops a short-lived cookie when challenging your browser to confirm you're human. Without it, the booking and question forms can't submit.
  • Stripe Checkout sets its own session cookies when you click through to pay. See stripe.com/privacy for Stripe's own notice.

8.Children

8.1 The booking system is for adults arranging events. We capture aggregate guest counts (including a children-and-infants count, for capacity and supervision-ratio rules) but no personal data about individual children. If you're under 18, please don't submit the booking form yourself.

9.Changes to this notice

9.1 We may update this notice from time to time. The version date is shown at the top and bottom; we bump it whenever we make a material change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated notice.

The important bits

FREQUENTLY ASKED, ANSWERED

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE HIRE FEE AND THE MINIMUM BAR SPEND?

Two separate things, and people mix them up constantly.

  • Hire fee — the cost of the room. Paid up front (£50 deposit now, remainder on invoice).
  • Minimum bar spend — what your bar tab needs to hit on the night. Paid at the bar, by your guests.

They don't overlap. If the tab falls short, you settle the shortfall by card on the way out.

HOW DOES THE £50 HOLDING DEPOSIT WORK?

£50 blocks your date for 48 hours while we confirm availability and send the proposal. Fully deducted from your hire fee on confirmation.

Paying the deposit doesn't guarantee the booking — confirmation comes from us in writing. If we can't accommodate, full refund within 3 working days.

HOW QUICKLY DO I PAY THE FULL HIRE FEE?

Balance is due 28 days before your event.

  • Booked inside 28 days? Due within 48 hours of your confirmation email.
  • Add-ons added inside the 28-day window are paid for straight away.

Nothing is taken on the day — everything settles in advance. Miss the deadline and the date is automatically released — we'll still send a payment link in case you want to proceed, subject to availability.

WHAT ARE THE HIRE FEES?
  • Mon–Fri daytime (11:00–17:00): £50/hr dry hire
  • Mon–Thu evening: £150
  • Fri–Sat evening: £350
  • Sun evening: £150
  • Kids parties: £200 (dry hire) up to £400 (Disco Package)

All fees inclusive of VAT.

WHO LOOKS AFTER THE DOOR?

You do. We don't manage the door — our front-of-house team are serving the restaurant. Names, tickets, guest list: handle it however suits your event.

If it's left unattended and our staff have to step in, it's £25 per 30 minutes plus a £100 compliance charge. It's in the T&Cs.

WHAT TIME'S CURFEW?

Fri and Sat, last track 02:15 sharp, everyone out by 02:30. Mon–Thu and Sunday evenings out by 22:30.

Doors by 18:30 for every evening event. Late arrivals cost £25 per 30 minutes while our staff cover the door.

CAN WE STAY LATER ON A SATURDAY?

Yes. £150 late licence extension pushes last track to 02:50 and out to 03:00. Sat only, booked and paid in advance, not on the night.

FOOD AND DRINK, CAN WE BRING OUR OWN?

No outside food, no outside booze. Only exception is wedding corkage (£15 per bottle, wine and champagne, agreed in writing in advance).

And before anyone asks: fully vegan kitchen, fully vegan bar. No meat, no fish, no dairy, no eggs, ever.

Birthday cake from an outside baker is fine if they hold a current food hygiene certificate.

WHEN DO FOOD PRE-ORDERS NEED TO BE LOCKED IN?

Seven days before the event. Final guest numbers lock at the same point. 15 guests or more, pre-orders are required.

MUSIC, CAN I BRING A DJ?

Bring your own, or add our CDJ and mixer hire at £150 for the event (damage insurance included). Lasers are £20.

Performances, screenings and talks can add the projector + screen bundle for £30.

PARKING? TUBE?

No parking on site. Zone 2, London rules apply.

Nearest stations: Cambridge Heath (rail), Bethnal Green (Central line), Hackney Road buses. Most people cab it home if they're making a proper night of it.

WHEN DO KIDS PARTIES RUN?

Saturdays and Sundays only. Two sessions a day:

  • Session 1: 10:30–13:00 (access from 09:30)
  • Session 2: 14:30–17:00 (access from 14:00)

Minimum 12 children, maximum 50 per session.

Best for ages 3–10 — packages can be adapted for older children.

WHAT KIDS PARTY PACKAGES ARE AVAILABLE?
  • Dry Hire: £200 + £300 min spend
  • Disco Party: £400 + £300 min spend
  • Karaoke Party: £300 + £300 min spend

Food add-on: £12.50/child. Circus skills, puppet workshops and storytelling can be added on top of any package, priced per party. Ask on the kids page and we'll quote it.

CAN PARENTS DRINK ALCOHOL AT KIDS PARTIES?

Yes. The bar is open throughout.

DO YOU HAVE SOFT PLAY OR EQUIPMENT FOR BABIES AND TODDLERS?

Yes — our Little Ones Setup: floor mats, a 2x3m child-safe wooden enclosure and soft play equipment suitable for children under 5.

Available as an add-on for £25, on request. Must be booked in advance.

CAN I BRING A BIRTHDAY CAKE?

Yes — provided the supplier holds a current Food Hygiene Certificate, declared in advance. Cakage £2.50 per person, waived in full if all guests order a dessert.

Or order one from us: vegan birthday cakes from £55, 7 days' notice.

ANYTHING WE CAN'T DO IN THE SPACE?

No confetti, no glitter, no wall fixings (blu-tack, pins, tape, any of it).

We run Challenge 25, so remind your guests to bring photo ID if they look anywhere near their twenties.

HOW DO I CHECK AVAILABILITY?

Use the booking form on this site to check availability, or email events@loveshackldn.com with your preferred date, event type and expected numbers. We aim to respond within 24 hours.

Asking in person or speaking to staff at the venue does NOT constitute a booking or availability check — all enquiries must go through the form or events email.

HOW DO I KNOW MY BOOKING IS CONFIRMED?

Your booking is confirmed the moment your payment is received and cleared, and we've sent you a confirmation email. If you've paid and haven't had confirmation within 24 hours, email us immediately. Don't assume your booking is confirmed until you've got it in writing.

SOMEONE TOLD ME VERBALLY THE DATE WAS FREE — IS IT MINE?

No. Verbal conversations and notes made by staff in any diary or calendar do not constitute a hold or a booking. A date is only reserved once you've got written confirmation from events@loveshackldn.com and paid the deposit. Always follow up any in-person conversation with an email.

CAN I VISIT THE SPACE BEFORE BOOKING?

Yes — email events@loveshackldn.com to arrange a viewing. We're happy to show you the venue and talk through your event. We recommend viewing for larger or more complex events.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?

Friday and Saturday evenings typically book 2–4 months in advance. If you have a specific date in mind, contact us as soon as possible. Weeknight and Sunday slots have more availability and can be booked with shorter notice.

WHAT COUNTS TOWARDS THE MINIMUM BAR SPEND?

Everything purchased at the Love Shack bar during your event: drinks, food platters, soft drinks, hot drinks. Pre-ordered food also counts. The hire fee itself does not count towards the minimum spend.

CAN I GET AN INVOICE TO MY COMPANY?

Yes — provide the full legal company name, address and any purchase order number at the time of booking. If you need a VAT receipt or the invoice reissued, contact us as soon as possible — we can't amend invoices that have been issued in a previous tax period.

WHAT IS THE BUNKER?

Our dedicated events space — a raw, atmospheric Victorian railway arch with its own bar, PA sound system, lighting rig and direct street access from Cambridge Heath Road. Completely separate from the main restaurant.

Capacity: 150 standing / 80 mixed style / 60 theatre / 50 seated dining / 50 children (kids parties).

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN EVERY HIRE?

Exclusive use of The Bunker, the Love Shack bar and bar staff, full PA sound system (Volume Unit Pro Audio), atmospheric lighting rig, tables and chairs, wifi.

PROJECTOR AND SCREEN?

We offer screen and projector hires individually or bundled together. These must be requested at the time of booking.

IMPORTANT: neither can be used for party-style events — available for performances, talks, screenings and presentations only.

WHAT CABLES DOES MY DJ NEED?

2 x RCA to XLR cables with a male XLR end. Standard DJ controllers output RCA — these need to connect to our XLR male inputs. We have some cables but can't guarantee compatibility. We strongly recommend your DJ brings their own and tests the connection on arrival.

DO YOU HAVE A SOUND TECHNICIAN?

No. If you're using the PA for a performance or DJ set, you or your performer must be able to operate it. We strongly recommend arriving early for a sound check.

CAN I COME IN EARLIER THAN ACCESS TIME?

Standard access for evening events is 5:30pm. Early access from 3pm is available with an hourly fee and must be pre-agreed and paid for in advance. Don't arrive before your agreed access time.

CAN I BRING DECORATIONS?

Yes. No confetti, glitter or anything requiring significant clean-up — additional charges apply. Nothing may be fixed to walls with nails, screws or permanent adhesive. All decorations must be removed by the end of your hire.

IS ALL THE FOOD VEGAN?

Yes. Love Shack is a fully vegan venue. Every dish on our menu is 100% plant-based, no exceptions. There are no non-vegan alternatives.

CAN I ADD MORE FOOD OR PEOPLE AFTER ORDERING?

Small additions (a few extra portions) can sometimes be accommodated if the kitchen has capacity. Contact us as soon as possible if your numbers increase. We can't guarantee additions made less than 7 days before the event.

CAN I BRING MY OWN CHEF / USE THE KITCHEN?

No. Our kitchen is operated by our team only. External chefs and caterers are not permitted to use the Love Shack kitchen.

DO YOU HAVE A TENs LICENCE — CAN I APPLY FOR ONE?

Love Shack holds a full premises licence covering the sale of alcohol at all events. You don't need a TENs licence and may not apply for one for events at our venue without our prior written permission.

WHAT FOOD OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

Sharing platters £30 per person, platters + main course £45 per person, desserts £8 per person, kids snack packs £12.50 per child, the Parent Platter £100 (feeds 10), and vegan cakes from £55.

All food counts towards your minimum bar spend.

ALLERGIES AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Yes — provide full allergy and dietary information for all guests at least 7 days before the event. We can accommodate gluten-free and other requirements with advance notice.

As a fully vegan venue, all food is free from meat, fish, eggs and dairy as standard.

WHO WILL BE THERE TO MEET US?

A Love Shack bar team member will be on-site throughout your event. The events coordinator works part-time and may not be physically present on the night.

All pre-event questions should go to events@loveshackldn.com. On the night, speak to the duty manager.

FIRE SAFETY PROCEDURE?

A full fire safety briefing is given at the start of every event by Love Shack staff. Please ensure all guests are aware of this information. It covers fire alarm points, evacuation routes and the assembly point.

WHAT IF THE EVENT RUNS OVER?

Overrun charges of £50/hr apply from your agreed curfew time. These are enforced strictly — no exceptions.

WHAT DO WE DO AT THE END OF THE HIRE?

Every person — guests, performers, crew, organisers — must have left the premises by the agreed end time. All decorations and items brought in must be removed. Love Shack isn't responsible for anything left on the premises after your event ends.

CAN MY GUESTS ARRIVE EARLIER THAN START TIME?

No. Guest access is only available from the event start time (not the access time). Early access before this requires a pre-agreed arrangement. Guests can't be left waiting in the restaurant or entrance without an agreed host present.

CAN WE SELL TICKETS TO OUR EVENT?

Yes, you are welcome to ticket events. You're responsible for all ticketing, promotion and front-of-house management.

WILL YOU PROMOTE MY EVENT ON YOUR SOCIALS?

On request, we'll make reasonable efforts to share event information where it aligns with our brand and audience, but we're not obligated to do so. All artwork must be approved by us before being shared. Email events@loveshackldn.com with your artwork and event details.

CAN I RUN A RECURRING MONTHLY EVENT?

Yes — regular events may qualify for a discounted rate on confirmed 3+ month bookings. This requires a separate recurring booking agreement. Contact events@loveshackldn.com to discuss.
